We’ve all experienced this before, it’s New Years day, we wake up, ecstatic and hopeful. We think to ourselves ‘this is the year that i’m going to finally lose weight!”

We sign up for a gym membership, go online and buy all the necessary gear that we need. Running shoes, water bottles, a smart watch that calculates every calorie you lose with each step you take throughout the day.

 

The moment we step into the gym in the first week of January, it’s packed with other people with the same desire to change their lives after constantly struggling to lose weight.

The first week passes by,  you’re giving it your all at the gym, your motivation is at an all time high.

Being a chain smoker for most of my early adult life i have lost friends and relatives from lung cancer as a result from smoking. I thought experiencing devastating losses that i would get a wake up call to finally quit i was mistaken.

This is how powerful addictions are, you know the horrible consequences but we still continue to engage in them. Why is it so hard to quit bad habits? It’s because our subconscious minds have turned them into a habit.

Any behavior that we repeat for a long period of time turns into a habit. Once a habit is formed, it would feel impossible to stop that habit once it’s gotten momentum.

The type of momentum your habits once formed carry you is like trying to stop a speeding train by placing cardboard boxes in the middle of the tracks. Your subconscious mind is making your life and survival easier by making actions automatic.

This would make sense 1000’s of years ago when we were living in caves hunting our own food at peak performance but in today’s world our we have a lot of distractions and bad vices that we consume on the daily.

Our subconscious mind doesn’t care if what we feed it is good or bad for us. It carries out it’s purpose of making the actions automatic regardless.  Here’s the problem it’s very easy to learn a new habit if you’ve never experienced the opposite effect before.

For example if you’ve always been obese your entire life, trying to start going to the gym and sticking to it will be impossible,  since you’ve never been in good shape your mind will be full of doubts. How can you believe you can achieve something if you’ve always struggled to get it?

No amount of positive affirmations will change your habits. There is a big misconception in the self help community that preaches positive affirmations and positive thinking. Positive self talk alone will not get you to where you want to be.

The only thing it will do is give you a temporary motivational boost but you will crash and burn before you see any real changes. How to get a promotion using your subconscious mind

Have you ever wondered why it’s so easy for some people to excel at their careers at a very short period of time while you try to advance in yours but still struggle to make any progress at all?

There’re employees that have worked decades at a company but still have been stuck in the same position all that time.

Your subconscious mind has been programmed for ‘comfort’ since you were growing up.It’s like a thermostat that brings you back to your old behaviors which you learned from your environment while growing up.

They will never be able to be broke because they have never experienced it before in their lives.  If something were to ever happen to them that effects their finances e.g A business that they own gets destroyed by a fire they can rebuild the business no problem back to what to it was earning or more because their subconscious minds is fixed on a successful trajectory and leads them with the right actions to take to get wealthy again.

So does this mean if you weren’t raised up by successful parents it means that you’re screwed and never likely to change your current situation?

Can you control your subconscious mind?

People all over the world are mindlessly living their lives on autopilot every single day without realizing it. This all sounds great but there’s only one problem. We have something that’s blocking our way from controlling our subconscious minds from attracting any thing we desire. This is our Limiting Beliefs.

Limiting beliefs are all the doubts that we have about ourselves. They are a result from a multiple of things during our childhood.

If you have a bad relationship with food and/or can’t ever see yourself in good shape, this could be from having parents constantly feeding you junk food at very young age.

You then go through your entire life seeing yourself in the mirror overweight and can’t imagine how you would ever be in good shape. If you try to go to the gym, or start a healthy diet, your subconscious mind pulls you back to your old habits and routines.

It feels impossible to change your life when your subconscious mind is fixed to an old habit that is not good for you.

How to use your subconscious mind to beat procrastination

If there’s one thing that determines between success and failure is CONSISTENT ACTION. Taking action everyday weather it’s going to the gym, starting a business or studying is vital for success.

You’ve probably experienced this every year. January 1st hits, one of your new year’s resolutions is to eat healthy and exercise. You are excited that finally THIS is the year!  that you’re going to finally leave transform into a completely different person.

You visualize your new dream beach body or your new promotion at work. You imagine your friends and relatives congratulating on how successful you’ve become.

The first few weeks of January you’re taking action like never before. You’re killing it at the gym, spending 4 hours studying or working at your new business every night.

But one day you decide to take a break, you tell yourself  Hey i did so much work these past few weeks i deserve a day off!

One day turns into 3 days off, 3 days turn into 1 month and before you know it the year ends and you’re back to where you started without accomplishing anything meaningful.

Not only are you back to where you started off but this time you’re self-confidence has taken a hit as well. You start to think what’s the point of trying if i’m going to fail again? . At this point you’ve given up and your old habits have won the battle.

If you’ve had this problem before, i have good news for you. You can use your subconscious mind to develop good habits and change your life for good. No more frustration and doubt when you think about going after your goals.

Imagine being able to go the gym everyday without thinking about it. No resistance. It would be as routine as brushing your teeth every morning. You know how hard it is for smokers to quit right? Imagine it being hard for you to quit going to the gym? how awesome does that sound? Getting addicted to positive habits is life changing.  This will be possible if you are able to influence your subconscious mind.

 

But we have one problem. Our old destructive habits that we’ve developed over the years are so strong,  we would need an extreme amount of willpower of forcing new habits in order to replace our bad habits.

Bad habits can’t be destroyed they can only be replaced this means that you have to force yourself to go to the gym consistently for months in order for our subconscious mind to adapt to the new behavior.

This would be the traditional way of implanting good habits. But you’ve come to realize you’ve tried to do this but you end up giving up. We’ve come full circle.

Another method of influencing your subconscious mind is by  using positive affirmations. This has been known to work before but it’s results are only enjoyed by very few people.

You can only influence your subconscious mind and make it work for you if you TRULY BELIEVE the positive affirmations that you repeat to yourself every day. The problem is how can you believe in something that you’ve never experienced before like being in good shape or being financially set off?

How to use your subconscious mind to attract love

A basic human need is the feel to be desired and loved by the members of the opposite sex. Finding your soulmate is easier than you think. No matter how many time’s you’ve struggled in the past, it’s possible to use the power of your subconscious mind to attract the love of your life.

Your current state of mind determines the quality of people that enter your life. If you are genuinely happy with your self it will be easy for you to attract like minded people to your life randomly. You send out positive vibrations from within and other like minded people can sense it and are drawn to you.

Unhappy and/or angry people repel from you and if you’re close to them you can feel it in your gut, that’s your subconscious warning, and you don’t want to spend your time with them. It feels draining, they try to bring you down to match their own vibration.

In order to raiser your level of vibration to attract a potential lover is by being perfectly in tuned with yourself. What i mean by this is that you have to be deep down completely confident and happy with your own self. You have to turn into a magnet that attracts the right person to you.

The typical strategy preached by many law of attraction guru’s  is to visualize your soulmate and they will come to you. But this never works for everyone. In order for your wish to come true, you must truly believe that it’s possible to be able to attract a soulmate.

Any lingering doubt in your mind that you can’t attract your soul mate can be sensed by your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind does not grant any wish if it has any form of doubt associated with it.

Imagine having your own personal genie, he asks you that you can ask for any wish but as long as you truly believe it then the genie will make it happen. This is how your subconscious mind works. The doubts and insecurities that you have are called ‘limiting beliefs’.

The reason you haven’t met your soulmate yet is that you may have grown up with  limiting beliefs about yourself. It may have come from constant bullying as a child from other kids at school or even from your own family. The constant negative reinforcements from them over and over becomes what you think about yourself.

You grow up with a lack of confidence and insecurity that puts in you in a low state of vibration. When you constantly tell yourself how low worth you are, it’s easy for the subconscious mind to accept this truth and make sure only negative situations and negative people are attracted to your life.

For the person that could be your future wife or husband, they will only be attracted in your life if you put out a positive vibration. This will only happen if you get rid of your limiting belief about your self image.

You can try to start positive affirmations, but the old prior feelings of yourself you’ve had are true strong to replace. Your subconscious mind will reject it and stick to your current negative belief about yourself.
